In February of 2015, Colleen McGonigle sang in the world premiere of Garrett Fisher’s The Ghosts of Monticello with the Bucknell Opera Company. January 2016 brought Ms. McGonigle to the finalist round of the National Opera Association National Collegiate Musical Theater Scene Finals, as Clara in a scene from The Light in the Piazza. In April 2016, she performed as the Second Knitter in Seymour Barab’s A Game of Chance and as Geraldine in Samuel Barber’s Hand of Bridge with the Bucknell Opera Theatre. Colleen McGonigle has also performed as a featured soloist with the Bucknell Camerata in their 2016 performance of Duruflé’s Requiem. In November 2016, she performed the role of Julie Jordan for the Bucknell Opera Theatre’s production of Carousel, with guest conductor, Dr. Richard Masters. The summer of 2017 brought her to Steamboat Springs, CO where she performed the role of Dot in Jonathan Dove’s The Enchanted Pig with Opera Steamboat. In the summer of 2018, Ms. McGonigle participated in the Druid City Opera Workshop and was the marketing intern for Yellow Barn. Colleen McGonigle worked with Marin Alsop in performance of Leonard Bernstein’s Mass in the fall of 2018 and with James Harp in a production of As One, in which Ms. McGonigle played Hannah After.
Ms. McGonigle is currently pursuing a PhD in the Addiction Neuroscience program at IUPUI. She completed her master’s degree in 2019 at the Peabody Conservatory in Baltimore, MD. She graduated in 2017 with a Bachelor of Science degree in neuroscience as well as a Bachelor of Arts degree with a concentration in vocal performance from Bucknell University. She has most recently studied with soprano Tony Arnold, and has previously studied under Dr. Emily Martin, Margaret Moul Carli, and Dr. Leesa Levy. Notable coaches, directors, and conductors that Miss McGonigle has had the opportunity to work with include James Harp, Richard Masters, Amanda Johnston.
